Rains had one casualty and several victims in Golfito

A 40-year-old man died on Saturday night in Golfito when trying to cross a ravine near the town of Río Claro.

According to Sigifredo Pérez, director of the National Emergency Commission (CNE), Golfito was the most affected area by the rains at night. The area reported a collapse of the road near the Coto River and the closure of the alternate route.

The authorities have already sent 200 futons and food to communities affected by floods.

The Commission also reported four sewer flooding incidents in Corredores and communications failure in Drake, Osa.
