Legislator Mario Redondo blamed the government for what happened at the Institute for Cooperative Development (INFOCOOP), despite the decision of the Executive to intervene it for nine months.
I think INFOCOOP must be investigated (…) The government is an accomplice and partner in all this situation. The president of INFOCOOP has been the same for almost three years and he is also the Minister of Agriculture … We are not talking about someone who took office yesterday or a week ago and found something that seemed wierd. He is co-responsible for this situation,
declared Redondo in an intervention in the Legislative Assembly.
The legislator also questioned the decision by the Governing Council to leave Agriculture Minister Luis Felipe Arauz on the board of INFOCOOP.
The congressman insisted that the decision of the Government intends to cover up what has happened in INFOCOOP and described it as an arbitrary intervention.
Sandra Piszk also criticized the government for keeping three official representatives at the inspection Board.
