A study by the Office of the Ombudsman found that complaints of sexual harassment will not properan malpractice in research.
According to a study of 504 cases filed between 2008 and 2001, allegations presented by the victims of sexual harassment do not move forward because investigations are weak and prone to bad practices. Over half the cases in the study were dismissed or archived by the institutions that adjudicated them. Data 2011 show that only 16 percent of cases were resolved within the three months defined by law, 25 percent in six months, and the remainder taking more than a year to resolve. In recent years there has been a considerable increase in the number of underage women who claim to be victims of harassment.
