Residents of Moravia and Liberia won’t have water supply today

The Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA) reported that, due to maintenance of the water treatment plant of Los Sitios and change of valve, there will be an interruption of the drinking water service.

The measure will affect 10 thousand clients from different sectors of the San Vicente de Moravia district. The suspension will occur on February 8th from six in the morning until two in the afternoon. The works can be extended until five o’clock in the afternoon, depending on the sector.

The affected places in La Trinidad will be: André Chale, Alto Trinidad, Ciprés, Colonia Guayabal, Moral, Níspero, Ruano, Sitios, Alemania Unida, Urb. Zurquí, Urb. El Paseo, Urb. Sánchez, Virilla, La Fabiola, Unemopt and El Orgullo.

While in San Vicente the water service will be suspended in: Alondra, Carmen, Sagrado Corazón, San Martín, Colegios Norte, Americana, Bajo La Isla, Chaves, Florencia, Isla, Robles, Romeral, San Rafael, San Vicente, Santo Tomás, Saprissa, Urb. Alta Moravia,América, Americano, Bajo La Isla, Chaves, Flor, Florencia, Guaria, Guaria Oriental, Robles, Romeral, San Vicente, Santa Clara, Santo Tomás, Saprissa, Urb. Altamoravia, and surroundings.

AyA also announced that due to maintenance and washing of the main tank, the service will also be interrupted for the residents of Liberia. The suspension will be from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., approximately, and this will depend on the location. This suspension will affect 21,500 people in Gallera, Lots Gualberto, Pedro Hernandez, Pueblo Nuevo, Moracia, Linda Vista, Rojas Chávez, Santa Ana, Felipe Pérez, La Carreta and La Arena.

The entity recommends taking the necessary measures and it calls for the proper use of the precious liquid by only storing water for basic needs.
