Volcanoes Rincón de la Vieja, Poás and Turrialba have shown little activity in the last days as far as eruptions goes. However, on Sunday morning, the colossus of Guanacaste erupted again.
According to the National Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (OVSICORI), Rincón de la Vieja erupted at about 6:40 a.m. The data provided in the report of the entity shows the plume rose about a thousand meters above the crater.
It was not determined whether there was expulsion of ash or solid material, although it did emit steam and gases.
On the other hand, Poás and Turrialba continue without eruptions, although they maintain permanent degassing processes.
Turrialba Volcano has been releasing low amounts of ash sporadically. It has a plume of less than 500 meters above the crater.
