On July 16th, Globalvia Route 27 and the Transit Police will apply the reversibility operation to San José.
This will happen between the exchanges of Pozón and Ciudad Colón, in order to facilitate the return of users to the capital after the half-year vacation.
Closures will be made from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., with reversibility effective from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The difference between the closing schedule and the reversibility corresponds to the processes of closing and opening that takes an hour to proceed in a safely manner.
The operations will be done in coordination with the National Council of Concessions, the Traffic Engineering Department and the Traffic Police.
The maximum speed allowed during the operation will be 60 km/h. The National Council of Concessions will temporarily change the vertical signage of the route and will have speed control operations by the Traffic Police.
People who wish to go to Caldera, during the hours of reversibility, must do so through one of the existing alternate routes, which will also be attended by police officers.
Some of these alternative ways are:
-Ruta 3 by Atenas- Aguacate-Orotina
-Ruta 1 by Cambronero.
-Ruta 239 by Ciudad Colon – Puriscal – San Pablo – Turrubares until Orotina and from Orotina by the old route, until Pozón de Orotina, crossing Coyolar.
Users are advised to plan their return to San José for Sunday morning.
