Run and fight prostate cancer

Exercise is health. And when it is done for a good cause, it is much better.

A race called “MostaRun” will take place on November 13th at 7 a.m., starting and finishing at the World Gym in Escazú. Participants can run 5 or 10 kilometers and there will be a category for the blind.

It is not just a simple race: participants will receive discounts for PSA tests and urology consultations and informative materials about prostate cancer. The certificates of women who participate can be transferred to relatives.

Prostate cancer is the most fatal cancer recorded in men, so we are giving enough attention to the disease. The idea is that people are informed about prostate cancer and also participate in the race,”

said Roberto Quirós, founder of the Organization “Lo que siembras”, which promotes the race.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the fight against this type of cancer. Last year, the money of the registration fees allowed a donation to rebuild the radio diagnostic room of Mexico Hospital.

The Registration for the race costs 12 thousand colones. It includes hydration, insurance, event shirt, a free cardio dance class, an adhesive mustache and several awards from the sponsors.

To register visit the Foundation’s website or the facilities of the World Gym in Escazú.
