Yván Gil, vice chancellor of Venezuela for Europe, claimed that Russia will send more troops to Venezuela to reinforce the “military technical cooperation” between both countries.
On March 23rd, Venezuela received dozens of Russian soldiers who, according to Caracas, are fundamental given the complex and complete weapons that the South American nation has.
There is a dynamic cooperation in military matters that has been operating for 15 years and in this framework, Russian technicians will always be present,”
said Gil in a Russian-Venezuelan business forum held during the Fourteenth High Level Intergovernmental Commission.
Gil said that such cooperation allows them to “defend the sovereignty” of their country and that, with the arrival of the Russian militia, the presence of Russian technicians specializing in technology transfer continues.
The Russians who arrived in Venezuela last March brought 35 tons of war equipment as well as two airplanes from the Russian Air Force.
