Everything is ready for the starting signal of the 24th edition of “La Ruta de los Conquistadores” on November 3rd.
The Land Rover Challenge (name given to the second stage of the competition) will be 64 kilometers long, departing from the National Technical University and finishing in British Motors in Santa Ana.
This is not a competition of the International Cycling Union (UCI), or the FECOCI. This has been a bike adventure for 24 years, so this really is a challenge,”
said Román Urbina, creator of the route.
This year, the competitors will ride 223.1 kilometers at different altitudes ranging from sea level to 3,000 meters above it. The 400 registered competitors will cross the finish line at Moín Beach on November 5th.
In the previous edition of “La Ruta” the winner was Colombian Luis Mejía, who set a record time of 1:53:57.
