Historic and Cultural center arises in San José

San José’s Municipality is developing tourism in parks, iconic sites and gastronomy options in downtown San José, offering different tours, so the creation of a historical center in the capital is emerging as a possibility.

The Tourism Office is working on three routes: the Parks and Monuments tour, the coffee tour and the flavor tour.

We are working to attract more tourists, especially linking culture with tourism. We have alliances with urban collective Art City Tour, so the project is on motion and it’s a way to revive the city and create more jobs,

said Mayor Johnny Araya.

The tours are on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and are free of charge. However, it requires a registration process, because each tour has a maximum capacity of 30 people. The parks tour will start next Saturday, and the coffee and flavor tours will start on September and October, respectively.
