Zosen and Mina Hamada are two well-known visual artists and they are visiting Costa Rica.
They are in the country because they participated in the International Design Festival (FID) and they stayed a few more days, invited by 7 Up, to paint a mural in one side of Sala Garbo.
According to the artists, their work is very colorful and open and that’s what they want to transmit on this mural:
Our goal is to color San José, that people can enjoy this work and use their imagination.
Regarding their works in different parts of the world, Zosen said that every new place they go to is a challenge, because they do not know what the place will be like until the moment they arrive.
We are not likely to work with sketches or previous ideas. Instead, we work with intuition and improvisation… This is more fun. We never know how the work will end,
he said.
Zosen comes from Argentina and Mina Hamada from Japan, although, they currently live in Barcelona. It is the first time that they work in Central America and their joint projects can be found in several cities of Europe, North and South America and Japan.
Elena Arrea, coordinator of 7 Up, declared that they, as a brand, like truly original people, who are looking forward to being unique:
That’s why, when we knew they were coming, we got in touch with them.
