Sansa airline invested about $ 12 million to increase its fleet and improve current units, as well as infrastructure. This firm is part of Avianca Holdings company.

The airline added two new Cessna Grand Caravan 208B EX aircrafts to its Costa Rican fleet, which now has 9 aircrafts for the airline domestic operation.

This investment joins the incorporation of 2 EX-type aircrafts that SANSA, for a total investment of $ 8.8 million from 2015 to 2016.

In addition, it invested $ 2.5 million for the maintenance and renovation of the engines of its current fleet.

This is also related to the investment in systems and web page that is around $ 200,000.

Due to its technological characteristics, the new Cessna Grand Caravan 208b EX, model 2017, is specially designed for local airports in Costa Rica, which have short runways and little airport infrastructure.

These aircraft can reach up to a maximum of 360 kilometers per hour, carry up to 1,500 kilos of cargo and fly up to 25,000 feet in height and it is able to travel up to 1,698 kilometers.

As a result of the incorporation of the new aircraft, Sansa presented the opening of its new destination: Nosara, Guanacaste, with direct flights from San José and Liberia.

In addition to this new destination, the airline operates to the following destinations in Costa Rica: San Jose, Golfito, Quepos, Tamarindo, Liberia, Arenal La Fortuna, Limón, Tortuguero, Tambor, Puerto Jiménez, Palmar Sur, San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón and Drake Bay. The airline also operates to Costa Esmeralda in Nicaragua.
