Vertical Walking-Rombout Frieling
The Dutch are betting everything on their last great invention: an elevator pushed by the user with minimal effort that spends no electricity.
The lift uses the force of the user to go up and down and it was developed by the Dutch study Rombout Frieling Lab.
The Vertical Walking operates through a system of pulleys and springs that allow the occupant to push the chair with hand and foot movements.
According to its creators, this elevator requires only 10% of the energy a person needs to walk up the stairs. And it’s faster.
Another utility, obviously, is that it avoids the installation of the structure of a conventional elevator for no more than two or three floors.
