The main suspect of murdering two women in Parrita would have chosen February 14th (Valentine’s Day) and May 11th (birthday of one of the victims) to commit his crimes.
The victims were identified as Ana Seidy Salazar Carrillo, 35, and Isamar Córdoba, 26, who was a model and an aide-de-camp.
The first victim was found lifeless on February 14th at a beach in the town, while Córdoba was located lifeless on May 11th in Barbudal de Parrita.
The subject, identified with the surnames López Rojas, ended with his victims by stabbing them in the body. In addition, he cut the underwear and exposed the women’s genitalia.
Walter Espinoza, director of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), confirmed that the suspect has a serial killer profile, taking advantage of special dates and attacking every three months. They feared he would attack on August 15th, Mother’s Day and nearly three months after the murder of Isamar Córdoba.
López contacted his victims through social networks. He talked to them and summoned them to meet in Parrita. There he committed the crimes in solitary places.
The suspect is married and is the father of two children. One of them was born in May, near the date of the last crime.
López took the victims’ cell phones and used them to text her friends a few hours after the crimes, making them believe they were alive and in dangerous situations. He even requested sexual photographs to the daughter of the first victim.
In the raids conducted this Tuesday in Parrita, the OIJ seized a motorcycle, apparently used in the second crime.
