The Legislature has strongly criticized Luis Guillermo Solís’ government. It has mainly refered to the bill against tax fraud that is being discussed in Parliament and it has also criticized the Ministry of Finance.
Phrases like “the government is shameless, it is disgusting,” issued by legislator Rosibel Ramos weren’t answerd by the president, who only expressed his gratitude for the work they are conducting in Cuesta de Moras.
Solis’s words show that he is tired of arguing and he decided to calm down. However, weeks ago, the president harshly criticized Otto Guevara due to the number of motions presented for the corporations bill, as well as for the slow progress in the discussion of the
tax reform.
Even though the adoption of several laws and reforms are not taking place as soon as the government wants, the president recognizes the effort to try to cope with them.
He declared that respect between legislators and government must prevail, not only to avoid setting a bad example, but also to meet the objectives.
