On Monday, the Labor Court of the Second Judicial Circuit of San José declared the strike movement in the Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements (MIVAH) was illegal.
The judge surnamed Sancho Valerín said
the ANEP is condemned to pay both costs of this action, fixing the personal in the prudential amount of one million colones.”
At the time of the judicial inspection all the personnel were in their work place and there was no evidence that the union had called for a strike. But the court reiterated that after analyzing the case, it was determined that days before, four officials did suspend work to support the strike movement, as a means of pressure.
