A 5.4-degree earthquake shook the Panamanian Caribbean and the national Caribbean on Monday morning.
According to the report of the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica, the earthquake had its epicenter 5.7 km southwest of Finca Cincuenta Y Uno, Panama, and occurred at 7:44 am.
The depth was 10 kilometers and it was reported as strong 6.5 km southwest of Sixaola, Talamanca, Limón.
No affected people are reported.
Minutes after this earthquake, there was another one less intense (4.7 degrees) at the Sixaola border post. It was reported as strong in: Valle La Estrella, Río Jiménez and other places near the Great Metropolitan Area, such as Barva de Heredia, San Joaquín de Flores and San Rafael de Heredia.
