A strong earthquake was registered on Sunday night, reported in most of the country.
According to the National Seismological Network, the epicenter was located in Puntarenas, 5.4 kilometers east of Arancibia.
The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.4.
Several reports indicate that it was perceived in the Nicoya Peninsula and Guanacaste, although it was also reported as strong in the Central Valley.
