Students’ transporters can renew their permission

From this month on, those who have public transportation permits for students can request their renewal to provide the service during the 2017 school year at the Public Transportation Council (CTP).

Those interested in renewing the permit may request also the change of their transport unit or modifications to the operating plan (schedules, stops, etc). CTP will be issuing first-time permits as well.

The requirements are described on the website of the Council www.ctp.go.cr, in the section ‘requirements – procedures for special services.’

Appointments for any of the procedures described will be granted by e-mail (jbustillos@ctp.go.cr) or personally if the request is made at the appropriate location.

The appointments will be granted from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The CTP will enable 45 appointments for San José and 7 appointments for each of the regions located in Liberia, Alajuela, San Ramón, San Carlos, Pérez Zeledón, Cartago, Heredia, Puntarenas and Limón.

The MOPT and CTP are calling on the 5000 students’ transport workers who are currently registered with the CTP, so that they take advantage of this process.
