Swarovski, which specializes in precision glass cutting, announced on Monday that it will establish a business services center in Costa Rica to service its operations on the continent.
This company, created in 1895, will develop its Global Business Services (GBS) over several years. The opening is part of a global strategy to ensure that the function of finance and administration, allow a high performance of the company. As part of this initiative some specific administrative activities, which are close to the regional market and its equipment, will be managed from Costa Rica.

said Alexander Mora, Minister of Commerce Exterior.
The official stressed that Costa Rica has a highly educated workforce, a key location and a stable political-economic environment. The services sector currently employs 54,800 Costa Ricans.

The new headquarters will employ approximately 50 new people. The inauguration of the permanent facilities of the Swarovski GBS center in the Americas is expected to take place during the first quarter of 2018.
