Tank Museum is auctioning armored vehicles due to the lack of visitors

One of the many World War II museums in the French region of Normandy is auctioning its collection due to the lack of visitors (this year it has had a 30% decrease). The museum was opened three years ago, and it belongs to a former Air France pilot who assembled it over decades.

Among the 130 items up for auction there are: a 1942 tank M4 Cadillac with a price between 80,000 and 140,000 euros, a 1944 Jeep MB for about 25,000 euros and a 1943 bulldozer Caterpillar D-8 which price goes from 4,000 to 6,000 euros. In addition, they also offer items starting on 200 euros, an option for tighter budgets.

For economic, environmental and fiscal reasons, I have decided to close the museum and sell the entire collection,

said Patrick Nerrant, founder of Normandy Tank Museum in Catz.
