The 6th edition of the International Breakdance Competition will take place on February 26th, at Jazz Café Escazú.
The event is all about “Territorial Battle” and it is the most anticipated event in the Central American region, since it is an international preliminary round that will qualify the best dancer in Central America.
This winner will be the only regional representative at the Bboy City World Event, that will take place in October 2017 in Austin, Texas.
According to Emerson Hernández, a Hands Pro spokesman, the best breakdance dancers will participate in this regional event, which has been declared of cultural interest by the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica.
In addition, he said that there will be about 70 male and female dancers. Out of these, 20 are from Central American countries, the others are Costa Rican citizens.
There will be an international jury composed by Crumbs, dancer from the Black Eyed Peas and a well-known artist .
To participate in the event, you need to be a professional dancer: all you have to do is to pay the ticket (3,000 colones).
The competition will start on February 24th, at 4:00 pm. The winner will travel to the United States in a all-expense paid trip.
