There is no place like the Ayil cataract in Costa Rica.”
This is how Javier Elizondo describes the scenic beauty found in a waterfall located in Talamanca.
His curiosity for knowing some ancient lakes made this young architect decide to venture out and discover an unknown world.
For the past four years, Esquivel has been conducting research to map cataracts and jaguars in the forests of Costa Rica.
What impressed me most was to see how the legend made sense, the ghosts of the lake, the eternal rainbow waterfall, the immensity of the stones, the honesty, kindness and humility of the García family,”
said Esquivel.
His initiative is to document the majesty of the country before it no longer exists and he has succeeded.
Esquivel is passionate about photography, an art form through which he spreads his ideas.
Make sure you walk through the most hidden areas of the country, where you can still find the “pura vida”.
