The minister of Housing wants to control FOSUVI

Rosendo Pujol, minister of Housing, is fighting in the Housing Banking Bank (BANHVI) to control the office responsible for granting housing bonuses to the poorest families.

The leader claims that bonuses are still given to people who do not qualify for them and he also points out other “very serious” anomalies. As oonsequence, he aims to eradicate problems by strengthening the Bank’s management team, which is not quite at ease .

At this moment, Pujol’s main fight revolves around the appointment of a new deputy manager of operations, which would be in charge of supervising the Directorate of Housing Subsidies Fund (FOSUVI), which allocate more than ¢ 100,000 million per year in housing subsidies and communal bonds.

However, Pujol faces the opposition of general manager Luis Ángel Montoya (also named in this government), who wants to suppress the seat of a second on board.

Montoya thinks that the appointment is unnecessary. According to him, BANHVI can function with its current staff; Perhaps a couple of assistants would be needed.

However, the Board discarded the manager’s objection and chose to continue with the designation process.

BANHVI had placed over ¢ 85 billion in bonds that benefited 11,077 families with the budget 2016.
