The President asked Otto Guevara and Rosibel Ramos to change their minds

President Solís asked legislators Otto Guevara, from the Movimiento Libertario, and Rosibel Ramos, from Unión Social Cristiana (PUSC), to stop being against the draft on Corporation Tax, because the country could annually raise about 47 billion Colones to invest into public security.

Guevara has filed 200 motions to this plan and they are delaying its approval. As consequence, the president asked him to remove the motions. In addition, Solís asked Ramos, as the director of the Committee on Financial Affairs, to at least address these motions quickly.

Solís said that a motion was added in order to use economic resources from the Ministry of Security and hire more police officers. Furthermore, new funds could be invested in infrastructure.
