Doctors in Costa Rica have a new tool for cancer’s diagnosis and comprehensive treatment.
Oncodeep is a comprehensive diagnostic test that was developed in Europe, which is now available in Central America and Costa Rica.
It helps oncologists to better deal with the desease because a biopsy is performed in the patient. The tool was developed in Belgium, where tests are sent.
It also includes a pathological analysis, genetic alterations mappings, activation and endurance confirmation and a list of molecular alterations. Using this information, a list of medicines can be provided for possible treatment.
It is the most comprehensive and innovative service for metastatic cancer. It combines biopsy with a larger panel, by analysing tumor DNA from a blood sample. This allows the oncologist to make a more accurate and complete ealuation,
