There was a 4.8 earthquake with an epicenter in La Cruz, Guanacaste

The National Seismological Network (RSN) of the University of Costa Rica (UCR) reported a 4.8 earthquake at 10:22 am. Its epicenter was located in the province of Guanacaste, 4.8 kilometers southwest of the La Cruz border canton.

According to Facebook users, who left comments on the RSN wall, the movement was strong in the province of Alajuela, in sectors such as Naranjo, Palmares and San Ramón.

There is also a report of people who felt it in San José, but with less intensity.

On May 12th, there was another strong earthquake of magnitude 6 with an epicenter in the Southern Zone of the country.
