The new National Congress and Convention Center (CNCC) was inaugurated last Thursday in Cariari de Heredia. Government authorities hope to boost meeting tourism with this structur whose construction took just over a year with an investment of $ 35 million.
With the inauguration of this new infrastructure, it was also confirmed that almost 80 international congresses will be held in Costa Rica between 2017 and 2021, which will generate an economic impact of around $ 250 million.
One of these events is the FIEXPO LATINOAMÉRICA, the International Market Fair of Meetings and Incentives for the promotion of infrastructure and services in South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. This is one of the most important meetings tourism events in the world. It will take place in the country during 2019, 2020 and 2021, that is, for three consecutive years.
