The Public Force identified three people who would be members of mara 18 (M-18) from El Salvador.
The first case occurred during the eighth mega-operation that took place in the country when two Salvadoran men were identified in a vehicle in Calle Morenos, Sabana Sur. The director of the Public Force, Daniel Calderón, explained that after a road check and police intelligence information, the subjects were identified.
The suspects remained under the custody the Migration Police and, according to Calderón, they are linked to violent acts in the Central American country.
On the other hand, this Saturday another subject was arrested and it seems he also has an international alert for links with organized Central American gangs. The man was arrested on Second Avenue. With these cases, there are already 17 gang members who have been identified in the country during 2018.
