Ticos dressed in white to march for Democracy

A group of citizens met in San José for the “United for Costa Rica-Yes to Democracy” demonstration. They were wearing white clothes and waving flags and posters.

The activity began at 11:00 am this Sunday, when the protesters left La Merced Park in the direction of Parque de La Democracia. They sang the National Anthem and called for respect, peace, and institutionality.

This event was organized through Facebook, in the profile called ¡Unidos por Costa Rica – Sí a la Democracia.

We all marched through Costa Rica. We do not allow our country to fall, much less into the hands of people who live by lies, deceit, who foster hatred, who break the sovereignty and democracy of Costa Rica, who want to destroy brotherhood, tranquility, freedom. Defend our our Institutionality, defend our Democratic State, defend the veracity and transparency of the information, defend our little piece of blessed land,”

says the Facebook page.
