Traffic fines increase between ¢1,000 and ¢13,000
With the new year, traffic fines have increased between ¢1,000 and ¢13,000, effective January 1st. The rate is equal to the annual adjustment in the consumer price index (CPI), which is 4.82 percent. Fines are rounded up, as is the case for the violating the vehicular restriction which increases from ¢20,000 to ¢21,000. The most expensive, type A files will increase from ¢280,000 to ¢293,000 for acts such as driving without a license or exceeding 120 kilometers per hour.
