According to the latest report by the seismographs from OVSICORI-UNA located in the vicinity of Turrialba Volcano, the colossus maintains a low-amplitude volcanic tremor, aswell as a low-frequency volcanic earthquakes.
During the last 24 hours, the volcano has continuously emanated a plume of bluish gases and aerosols and very fine ash, whose height does not exceed 200 meters above the active crater.
The transparency of the plume in the crater has allowed people to see intense glow at night by the release of gases at high temperature (> 600 °C) and a little condensation of vapor.
During the day, the plume of gases and aerosols has been dispersed mainly towards the south-southeast.
So far the population has not reported ashfall.
