According to the latest report from the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica from the National University (OVSICORI-UNA), Turrialba Volcano registers little seismic activity.
Seismic stations reported little activity in the colossus. During Wednesday afternoon, weak emissions of gases and aerosols and even small outlets ash were observed by cameras located in the active crater.
According to the station of the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), the direction of the wind is maintained towards the south-southwest. However, there are no reports of ashfall.
The colossus remains calm after accumulating several weeks with a constant emanation of ash that even arrived to the Central Valley and caused airports to suspend operations.
