It would seem that Turrialba Volcano does not sleep, since it is constantly emanating ash. Far from reducing the rhythm of emissions, it keeps forming columns that reach almost a thousand meters above the crater.
Javier Pacheco, an expert from the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), said that there have been no significant changes and that the emanation is sustained.
At dawn, the change in wind direction caused the camera located in the Irazú to receive a large amount of ash and since yesterday at 2:35 p.m. the camera located on top of Turrialba is not working.

Pacheco said OVSICORI officials are constantly up to check the equipment, because the amount of ash in the area is exorbitant.
