On Wednesday, Turrialba Volcano released incandescent material, which was recorded by the cameras located in that area.
According to the National Seismological Network (RSN), the new eruption began at 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday progressing from a slight emission of ash to a more explosive Strombolian phase, which began around midnight, accompanied by a profuse emission of ash and incandescent blocks.
The incandescent material is hot but this does not mean that it is molten material or lava reaching the surface. This activity lasted until almost 3:00 a.m.
Mauricio Mora, expert of the entity explained that a volcanic tremor was registered along with this activity.
