Two fishermen and a minor who were adrift were rescued by the Coast Guard

The national authorities reported the rescue of three people who were adrift in the Pacific Ocean.

The rescue efforts were carried out by officers of the National Coast Guard Service. The events took place in Cabo Matapalo, in Golfito, Puntarenas.

According to the authorities, the vessel left early in the morning to carry out fishing activities, but they presented propulsion problems and were left adrift.

The National Coast Guard Service explained that the crew members were in good health. The authorities now request that the boats give notice of their departures so that, in case of emergency, they know their route.

During 2017, authorities report at least eight missing Costa Ricans after they left on boats but were not found. These are the Hilary and Captain Leo vessels, which disappeared in January and May in the Pacific Ocean.
