U.S citizen Joshua Louis Edwards, age 24 was arrested in Costa Rica and has been extradited on Thursday in a joint operation between law enforcement in the United States and immigration authorities in Costa Rica. Edwards, who was convicted of running a prostitution ring in San Antonio and sentenced to 10 years in prison fled the country while on bond.
Immigration authorities worked with the United States embassy in Costa Rica to locate Edwards, and lure him into a trap on St. Patrick’s Day. He now faces an additional 20 years in prison for having fled.
