Unions are angry because of the new bill in Congress

9 national unions are upset because the Executive ordered the discussion on the bill that proposes a reform to the calculation of additional remuneration in the public sector.

If the real problem are the interests of the national public debt (evasion), if the government itself declared that it is the deficit trigger, then the approach should be different instead of violating the labor rights,

stated the unions in a statement.

The project, which is an initiative of legislator Sandra Piszk, proposes to reduce the limit of the dismissals, to change the term to renegotiate collective bargaining agreements, to limit the percentage of annual payments, etc.

The Union of Costa Rican Education (SEC) and Patria Justa Collective Union (composed of 8 groups) indicated that to this threat to their ideals there is no other solution than the street.
