An American citizen with a history of sexual abuse against minors tried to enter Costa Rican soil on Saturday, at the Juan SantamarĂa airport in Alajuela.
This was reported by the Directorate of Immigration, which noted that the Immigration Control system detected the entry of a subject with a record for sexual abuse, so the Immigration Police denied him access to Costa Rica.
Esteban Obando, interim director of the entity, said that
the Visible Migration system is strengthening the country’s security, as it continues to produce positive results.”
The man – whose identity was not revealed- was expelled from the country.
