On Tuesday, the Venezuelan opposition called on the people to unrecognized President Nicolás Maduro and his call for a National Constituent Assembly, in what was announced as the “decisive phase” of permanent protest to achieve a change of government.
The current regime has been excluded from the Constitution and therefore its authority and decisions are unconstitutional and cannot be recognized or obeyed by anyone,”
announced the head of parliament (with opposition majority), Julio Borges, invoking a right established in the Magna Carta.
