On Monday, Vice President of the Republic, Ana Helena Chacón, said she received threats after her contribution to a bill that seeks to punish the sale of illegal lottery in the country.

With complete peace of mind, I passed the audio to Don Mariano Figueres, and the truth is that this not the first time in my life that I have been threatened, and I have always been willing to do what is right, even if other people do not like it,”

said Chacón.

The vice president said that over the years she has received several threats, so she is not afraid.

On Monday, the Social Protection Board presented a project that seeks to punish people who sell illegal lottery in the national territory with up to 8 years in prison.
