A video that went viral in WhatsApp groups shows a kind of “tsunami” in the crater of Irazú Volcano. The video is real, but it is not recent.
This was confirmed by a volcanologist consulted about it.
The recording shows the movement of water at the bottom of the crater , apparently as a result of a sliding of material on one of the side walls. The phenomenon was captured from the viewpoint sector.
