Marco Vinicio Ruiz declined to be the Executive Director of the National Institute for Cooperative Development (INFOCOOP), for which he was appointed last week by the Inspector Board of the institution.
According to Ruiz, he did not accept the charge “for personal reasons” and after talking with his relatives, he decided to keep working for a coffee exporting company.
I did not resign, I did not really accept the position (…) The fact is that I did not take office because I am not interested in it,
said Ruiz.
Last week, in an official statement, the INFOCOOP announced Ruiz’ appointment as new Executive Director from March 20th, but according to Ruiz, the pending date was for him to really make a decision on whether to accept the position or not.
