As of this Saturday, a series of virtual courses for those interested in being animal welfare rescuers were inaugurated.
The project aims to provide a series of tools and competencies to improve and enhance the skills of rescuers who work hard to find homes for abandoned cats and dogs in the country.
The initiative called “Social Marketing” was developed by the Hispano-American University and you can see the courses HERE.
One of the specialists who will provide tips for rescuers are Sofía Herra, founder of AMO Pro-Bienestar Animal, who will give the guidelines to perform a rescue.
The expert will show how to verify the condition of the animal, the necessary things to be able to approach it, and what is the body language that shows that an animal is scared or if it’s going to bite.
The courses are: social media, dog and cat photography, creativity, art direction, public relations, health and animal welfare. Each theme is developed by a 10-minute video expert.
During the presentation of the programs, the university campus organized an Animal Welfare Fair with adoptions, where 40 animals were looking for a new home. The event was supported by Animal Rescue, Animals of Assisi, and Territory of Zagüates.
Those interested must register with their email address or log in from their Facebook account.
