Volaris, Mexican company, will allocate 22 aircrafts to operate its subsidiary in Costa Rica.
This amount of aircrafts will be consolidated within three years, as revealed by Enrique Beltranena, CEO of the company, after presenting the results concerning the third quarter of 2016.
Volaris is only waiting to complete the last phase of Costa Rican requirements and receive the endorsement in November to start directing the operation of the subsidiary.
We estimate that we will start working in Central America by the end of the year,
declared Beltranena.
Volaris Costa Rica would focus on regional flights, with connections to destinations such as El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
The airline started operations in 2015 with direct flights between Costa Rica and Mexico. Its popularity and the style of low-cost airlines helped the company to decide to expand their operations to domestic territory.
the subsidiary will offer prices that go from 150 dollars to 200 dollars (80 and 100 thousand colones).
Currently, Volaris connects Costa Rica with other destinations such as Cancún and Guadalajara.
