The spectacular photo of a Costa Rican hummingbird, taken by renowned photographer Cristóbal Serrano, causes a stir and competes for a prestigious global award.
Serrano, who has been working for a few years in a photo project with an artistic approach on Costa Rica’s wild life, was able to take this beautiful picture that is now selected in the most prestigious nature competition of the world, “Wildlife Photographer of the Year”, for the People’s Choice Award.
The photographed bird is a hummingbird known as “chispita volcanera”, and the plant is a Passiflora Tripartita, which is also called “tumbo”.
