If your plans include visiting the Pacific in the country in the coming weeks to enjoy whale sighting, hurry up, because these mammals are already shining in the waters of the country.

This Sunday, a pilot identified as Cristian Hernández, was flying over the Quepos sector, and was able to record the moment when a whale and its young swam in Quepos.

Quepos is one of the lucky places in the country where you can admire these huge mammals up close. Its arrival begins in July and extends until November, but there are records that in September and October is when more sightings occur.

These are humpback whales, which travel along the Costa Rican seas as part of their migration process to the south of the continent. During these months they can also be observed in Dominical, Uvita and even Golfito.
