Eight Costa Rican women with eight different stories and struggles, in the same documentary.
If you ask yourself what has been the contribution of women in the history of Costa Rica, this is just a brushstroke of what they have achieved.
In the framework of International Women’s Day, the Government launched a 52-minute documentary that summarizes the life and achievements of eight Costa Rican women: Ángela Acuña Braun, Yvonne Clays Spoelders, María Isabel Carvajal, Felicitas Chaverri Matamoros, Violeta MAdrigal Mora, Carmen Naranjo, Yolanda Oreamuno and Elizabeth Odio Benito.
Their stories are intertwined on the same axis: the access to education,”
says the description of the video.
To make the role of women visible, the government intends to make the projection of the film compulsory for students.
